Authorities have identified the man killed in a Bakersfield hit-and-run while crossing a street in a wheelchair.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 58-year-old Darryl Ray Mick of Bakersfield.
According to police, the crash happened on October 30, 2025, around 6:25 a.m. in the 3600 block of O Street. Officers found Mick in the roadway with severe injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver fled after the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
